Abstract
Ectopic pregnancy, a pregnancy occurring outside the uterus, is one of the most common causes of first trimester bleeding and the most common life-threatening emergency in early pregnancyl•. Currently, 2% of pregnancies result in an ectopic pregnancy, of which 95% occur in the body of fallopian tubes'. Interstitial ectopic pregnancies (cornual pregnancies) are a rare subtype of ectopic pregnancy, resulting when implantation occurs in the most proximal part of the fallopian tube. Interstitial portion of the tube is the section of the tube which is surrounded by the myometrium in the cornual area.If pregnancy implants to this area it is called interstitial pregnancy. The term interstitial pregnancy is often used interchangeably with cornual pregnancy3'5.However,cornual pregnancy specifically refers to pregnancy in the horn of a bicomuate uterus.Angural pregnancies with implantation medial of the round ligament, intrauterine and medial to the insertion of the fallopian tube, have been considered as an own clinical entity.
