Abstract
Total conservative parolidettomy or superficial parvtidectong has the risk of facial nenr parabth and preservation of facial nerve is a real challenge. 24 patients have undergone total conservative parotideciong and 16 patients ban undergone supelicial perotidectonty with preservation of integnb, andfirnction of the facial nenr and its branches. 35 patients nve sleeting from neoplastic conditions of which 26 were pleornorphic adenoma, 4 were mucotpidermoid carcinoma, 3 were carcinoma ( pkomorphic adenoma) and 2 were adenoid rystic carcinoma & 5 patients were of non-neoplastic conditions of which 3 wen chronic penvtitis & 2 weir congenitalparotieffittula. The aim of the stir• was to obsenr the efficieng of preservation of facial nenr im paroticlertong done 40 patients.
